Door to the SoulAcrylic paint
Paint brushes 2016 Paintings 1 JessaBelle, my dog, inspired me to do this painting because she is always very playful.I wanted to show that through her eyes; the door to the soul. I love texture, for this project I used a little bit of texture. My art means the world to me because it shows who I am. It tells people about me and what I love. |
Mustard Sun
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes Texture paste 2016 Paintings 1 I went to Mexico for spring break and it was beautiful. The sunsets inspired me to create a painting of the sunsets. One artist that really inspires me is Conrad Jon Godly. I used two different photos for this picture. It was easy for me to do texture because I am so used to using texture at home. Then I also used texture paste which made it much easier to get a thick paint. My art is important to me because it expresses who I am. I like my art because I am free to do whatever I please. I get to take risks. That makes me proud of my art. |
True farmWatercolor paint
tissue paper watercolor brushes 2016 Paintings 1 For this piece I was truly inspired my father, a farmer. He has always been a big influence in my life whether it be with the smallest decisions or one of the hardest decisions of my life. We own a 120 acre farm and this is of him harvesting a couple years ago. I used many different techniques for this particular piece but I think the one i used the most was wet on wet, that is where you get the paper wet and then paint, because it had the most effective reaction. My art is truly important to me because it is always something I find interesting or something I love deeply. Farming will always be important tome because it makes you think about others more than yourself. |
Blue like the SeaAcrylic Brushes
Acrylic Paint 2016 Paintings 1 This was probably one of my favorite pieces because I got to paint abstract. That is my strongest suit for painting because I have been painting abstract pieces for a very long time. This piece was intentionally mad for my mother. While making this piece I felt free to paint whatever I wanted with a few boundaries. |
